making the most of your cross-border shopportunity

The thing about cross-border outlet shopping is that:

  • you only have a limited number of hours to hit all the shops on your list
  • you have to try everything on since returns can be a hassle or impossible
  • there are limits if you don’t want to pay duty
  • you don’t want buyer’s remorse

In this segment I’m wearing a dress I bought at an outlet mall without trying it on (Rule #1! Try it on!) and then got it home and decided that even though I love the colour blocking (white & black in front, blue & black in back) the white looked terrible on me and I was never going to wear it. Until my friend suggested wearing it backwards which not only put the flattering blue in front and the unflattering white in back but also changed the neckline so it drops in the back and looks even better. Good buyer’s remorse tip!
