Going to the TIFF lounges is basically what I imagine Santa’s workshop to look like, if it were in a hotel room in Toronto instead of the North Pole. Day 1 was the Essentials lounge, which is always one of my favourite stops. PR maven Esther Garnick always treats medias just like celebs, and this year her gifting lounge at the Hotel Le Germain spilled into two suites. She and her girls sent media home with two full bags — The Survival Bag & The Recovery Bag — and made us pretty with lash extensions from Winks, blowouts from John Frieda, gluten-free ceviche & chips from the Gourmet Bitches Food Truck girls, custom bra fitting from Calvin Klein, customized makeup from Benefit, Tealish tea, smartwater & a 10-day supply of vitaminwater, Elizabeth Grant cosmetics (including The Socializer, one of my favourite products), Vitamints & maybe my new personal favourite find, is Tums mints because they’re super potent. And who doesn’t want fresh breath?
